Gary, left, and Clint Ambrose leave the Tunapuna Magistrates' Court yesterday.
The two men charged with the murder of businessman Dr Eddie Koury appeared before a Tunapuna magistrate yesterday, exactly one week after Koury was abducted from his Macoya office.
They appeared along with four others who were charged with arms and ammunition possession arising out of Koury's abduction and murder.
Koury's headless body was found last Friday in an orange field at Todd's Road, Chaguanas. He was laid to rest on Tuesday.
Police are still searching for his head.
Caleb Donaldson, 25-originally from Tobago but who reportedly spent time in London-and Shawn James, 27, were charged with Koury's murder.
The other accused are brothers Clint Ambrose and Gary Ambrose, along with Jerome Murray, 24, and Terry Moore.
They are charged with arms and ammunition possession.
All six were reportedly arrested at a house at Reubens Drive, La Resource Road, D'Abadie, hours after the alleged abduction.
Donaldson and James are both charged with robbing Ramsaran Samlal of his taxi somewhere in Chaguanas.
At the time of this robbery, they "used personal violence" against the taxi-driver, the charges read.
It is also alleged that Samlal was taken away "against his will".
Magistrate Ramoo-Hayes transferred the matters to the Chaguanas Magistrates' Court.
Clint Ambrose and Terry Moore are charged with having in their possession a Halisburg 9mm pistol along with eight rounds of ammunition.
Before the court yesterday, attorney Joseph Pantor, who represented the interests of Gary and Clint Ambrose along with Jerome Murray, requested bail and informed the magistrate that the Ambrose brothers were citizens of this country, educated in England but now pursuing studies at the Cipriani Labour College.
With regard to Jerome Murray, attorney Pantor told the court that he was a tertiary level student and "he has a wife and he is not a flight risk".
The State's interests were represented by DPP attorney Adan Stroude.
He asked the court to "use its discretion" in the granting of bail as backgrounds of all the accused had not yet been properly checked.
Attorney Pantor replied that the men (not the two murder accused) had a right to bail, arguing that the men had been in custody since September 21 and "I am certain that their records had already been pulled because they would be interrogating these men".
Stroude, however, argued that "all parties (the suspects)" were being further investigated.
Magistrate Ramoo-Hayes agreed with Stroude and said that the court must take "judicial notice" of the fact that guns were the source of many violent incidents in society.
In the end, the magistrate ruled that if those with bailable offences wanted bail they would have to apply to a judge in chambers.
Donaldson's and James's matters were adjourned to October 5.
All the accused were arrested by Insp Stephen Ramsubhag and Sgt Johnny Abraham.

Sorry I took so long to reply but as you can see I'm not accustomed to getting comments.
Hello Taj, dont know if you are still about but i found this site looking for information on the mother of Gary and Clint Ambrose. She worked as a nurse in the UK for some years then left owing me money on a No Interest Loan which I had given her.
My boss and I paid her Fare to the Carribean because she said her sons had been involved in a Car Accident. We discovered the truth later.
Whatever happened to the men?
